The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced today, Saturday, “Israeli forces arrested the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, Dr. Hossam Abu Safia, after a difficult night that passed through the hospital, its medical staff, and the civilians inside its facilities.”

Meanwhile, the World Health Organization announced that “Kamal Adwan Hospital, the last major health facility in northern Gaza, has become out of service following an Israeli military operation that targeted the hospital.”

The organization said in a statement on the “X” platform: “Initial reports indicate that some major sections were burned and severely destroyed during the raid.”

In this context, Al-Azhar Al-Sharif said, “The practices of the Israeli occupation in Gaza over the course of more than 400 days prove that its military and political agenda ignores the most basic principles of humanity and ignores the lives of innocent people.”

A statement by the Al-Azhar Observatory for Combating Extremism stated that it is following “with great sorrow the recent developments in Kamal Adwan Hospital in the town of Beit Lahia, where medical staff and patients were targeted in systematic attacks,” adding: “From this humanitarian platform, we raise our voice in the name of every Palestinian who faces death with patience and courage, calling for The international community must take immediate action to end these violations. We believe that this call will be heard in heaven, even if the earth ignores it.”

The Observatory stressed that “the continuing escalation and crimes committed by the occupation are inseparable from the silence of the international community and its failure to take firm measures that put an end to these practices that amount to ethnic cleansing against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.”

The Observatory added that “the international community holds full responsibility for protecting the lives of 350 medical staff, patients and companions who were inside the hospital, especially with the loss of contact with them,” noting that this appeal is not just words, “but rather it is a cry of truth in the face of injustice, and an urgent call to save… Lives are lost every day in front of the world.. Is there any answer?

Arab Parliament: The Israeli army’s burning of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza is a new crime against humanity

The Arab Parliament condemned “the Israeli army’s burning of Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip and forcing patients and medical personnel to evacuate it, considering its behavior a crime against humanity.”

The Arab Parliament stressed in a statement, “This is a new crime against humanity that is added to the series of war crimes committed by the occupation against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, and a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and international laws and norms.”

He stressed that “the occupation’s persistence and insistence on the total and complete destruction of the dilapidated health system in the Gaza Strip comes as a result of the shameful international silence regarding the crimes it is committing.”

Parliament called on “the international community and the Security Council to carry out their moral, political and legal responsibilities to immediately stop these crimes and ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.” It also called for “war criminals in Israel to be held accountable for the crimes they commit against the Palestinian people.”
