The Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC, in English) meets for two days in Mexico City, and cites a list of names that includes the writer and former candidate for the presidency of France Eric Zemmour -located to the right of Marine Le Pen herself-, and the leader of the far-right Spanish party Vox, Santiago Abascal, who will participate with a video message.
The meeting, which according to analysts seeks to impose its neo-fascist current in Latin Americais sponsored by the American Conservative Union, of the United States, and the Viva México Movement, directed by the actor Eduardo Verástegui, a furious anti-abortionist and denialist of Covid 19, who is already indicated as a future independent or “citizen” presidential candidate. , in open opposition to Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
Among the Latin Americans will be the former Chilean presidential candidate José Antonio Kast, leader of the Republican Party, the Bolivian businessman Luis Fernando Camacho, governor of the Department of Santa Cruz -enemy number 1 of the MAS government- and the deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro, son of the Brazilian president.

According to several political analysts, one of the consequences of this conclave could be sowing the seeds of a far-right party in Mexico from an extremist faction of the conservative National Action Party, the main opposition party.
Members of this group, including Senator Julen Rementería and members of the clandestine organization El Yunque, have already been flirting with the Spanish party Vox and warmly welcomed Santiago Abascal a few months ago when he visited to promote his “Letter from Madrid “.
This particular conservative conclave has already garnered strong criticism from leaders in the region, including Mexican President López Obrador himself, who spared no adjectives for the organizers: “Racist, class-minded, discriminatory, corrupt and without moral scruples,” he described them.
