Riyadh: Action was taken against the employee who took a photo of a woman who sought treatment at a hospital in Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Ministry of Health announced the other day that he has been suspended from work. The Ministry of Health confirmed that the employee had already been arrested by the security forces and later handed over to the public prosecution for further action.
A video footage of him taking a picture of a woman who sought treatment at a government-owned health facility in the country where the employee worked was released. Later, these scenes went viral on social media. In a statement released by the Ministry of Health, it said that such wrongful acts are completely rejected and this is a violation of the patient’s rights.
There will be no compromise in taking action against those who do not comply with the Ministry of Health’s requirements for protecting patient rights and privacy. And action will be taken against those who do not provide services to the people in accordance with the policies of the Ministry of Health, according to the notification issued by the Ministry.

Three injured in house fire in Saudi Arabia
Riyadh: Three people were injured in a house fire in Saudi Arabia. The incident took place in Al-Adl district of Jeddah. The fire broke out in one of the rooms inside the house. Civil Defense rescuers extinguished the fire before it spread further. Civil Defense said the injured were taken to hospital in Red Crescent ambulances. It is not clear which country they belong to.
