A place in the sun, 25 years of the soap: the real Palazzo Palladini and the other 8 secrets

by time news

25 years have passed since the airing of the first episode of “A place in the sun”, the Rai 3 soap which with its almost 6 thousand episodes (the milestone of 5 thousand episodes was cut in 2018) is confirmed as the longest-running daily drama on Italian TV. Set in Naples at Palazzo Palladini, the fulcrum of the events narrated in the fiction, it has kept the viewers company from the now distant 21 October 1996 among historical protagonists – such as Raffaele Giordano (played by Patrizio Rispo), Giulia Poggi (Marina Tagliaferri), Alberto Palladini (Maurizio Aiello) and Marina Rezio Giordano (Nina Soldano) – and new faces. Over the years, 125 directors have taken turns behind the camera. Among them too Gabriele Muccino and Stefano Sollima (“Criminal novel – The series”, “Gomorrah – The series”, “Suburra”). And this is not the only curiosity about the series.
