The 50-year-old police officer was married and the father of a daughter, added the prosecutor, who opened an investigation to determine the exact causes of death, without giving further details on the possible context of this suicide. “This is a new tragedy affecting the ranks of the police”, reacted for his part Sébastien Soulé, departmental secretary of the Alliance police union in the Var.
