Just a few days ago, the Earth received, without warning, the impact of a solar storm «potentially disruptive» that no one expected. For scientists who observe the Sun, it was quite a shock, since the event occurred by surprise and without any previous signal that would allow them to guess its arrival.

The storm hit our planet just before midnight (UTC) on June 25, and continued for most of June 26. The event produced a geomagnetic storm that disturbed the Earth’s magnetic field for two days and which scientists have classified as as class G1, that is, of low intensity(scale from G1 to G5), though enough to cause power fluctuations in power grids, affect satellite navigation systems, confuse migratory birds, and cause unusually strong Northern Lights.
