The decoration was presented to Ms Loudaya on Thursday in recognition of “her active role in strengthening and consolidating relations between the two countries” since her appointment to that country in 2016.
Ms. Loudaya received the prestigious medal from the president of the Colombian Press and Media Association, Ms. Marta Blanco de Lemos, during a solemn ceremony held at the headquarters of the Francisco de Paula Santander Museum, in the presence of several Colombian personalities, including the Minister of Information Technology and Communications, Mr. Mauricio Lizcano.
During this ceremony marked by the intonation of the national anthem of Morocco by the orchestra of the Colombian National Police, Mrs. Loudaya indicated that this decoration constitutes a strong recognition of the role that the Kingdom plays as a key player, not only at the regional and continental level, but also at the global level, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
Expressing her gratitude to the organizers for the honor that was bestowed on Morocco through its representative in Colombia, Ms. Loudaya stressed the Kingdom’s commitment to a “dynamic promotion of South-South cooperation”, as well as the role played by the Kingdom in “bringing Africa and the Arab world closer to Latin America”.
For his part, Mr. Gustavo Casasbuenas, Executive President of the Colombian Association of Press and Media, praised “the remarkable action of Ms. Loudaya for the development of bilateral relations” in all areas, adding that this distinction is intended as a tribute to the commendable efforts made by the Embassy of Morocco in Colombia, to promote unwavering friendship and mutual knowledge between the Moroccan and Colombian peoples.
