Kochi: A producer was arrested in Kochi on a complaint that he molested a young woman by offering her a chance in a movie. Film producer and businessman Martin Sebastian was arrested. He was arrested by the Kochi Central Police on the complaint of a woman from Thrissur.
According to the complaint filed by the woman with the police, Martin Sebastian tortured her by promising to give her a chance in the cinema and marry her. The harassment has been going on since 2000. During this period, the woman complained that she was molested in Wayanad, Mumbai, Thrissur and Bengaluru.
The complainant also alleged that Martin Sebastian stole Rs 78,60,000 and 80 Pawan gold. After realizing that the woman would file a complaint with the police, Martin filed a petition in the sessions courts of seven police station limits and the Kerala High Court and obtained anticipatory bail.
Martin was granted anticipatory bail by the High Court last week but directed to appear before the investigating officers. Due to this, he appeared before the investigating officers for questioning in the last two days. He was arrested by the police after today’s interrogation. For this purpose, evidence is being collected at various places. A case was registered at the Ernakulam Central Police Station last December.
