A protest against the legal reform in front of Minister Yoav Kish’s house

Hundreds of protesters from the ‘reserves’ protest demonstrated this evening (Tuesday) in front of the home of Education Minister Yoav Kish in Ramat Gan and called on him to oppose the legal reform. Among the speakers at the demonstration were Maj. Gil Weissman, Kish’s commander in the pilot course, Col. Avi Kadish and Maj. Shira Etting, a helicopter squadron, former director of the KDC Training Center.

During their demonstration, the protestors broke through the police barriers and reached Kish’s building, at this point there are no arrests.

Major Gil Weissman said: “As the one who gave you solo as a fighter pilot, I call on you to be honest, trustworthy to the democratic and liberal state of Israel. You have a chance to correct direction, this is the last chance. Your children will not forgive you if you do not take this opportunity and restore our liberal democracy.’

Major in response Shira Ating: “You have the slowness and responsibility that fell on your part, you are among the only ministers in this government who have the power to oppose this reform.”
