On Saturday evening, the city of Zawiya witnessed a protest in the city’s central square, denouncing the deteriorating living and economic conditions, and demanding the formation of a unified government in the country and the expulsion of mercenaries and foreign forces from Libyan territory.
The demonstrators raised slogans demanding the improvement of living and service conditions in the country, denounced corruption and crime, and called for justice and accountability.
In a statement, the participants in the protest called for an end to the transitional stages and all current legislative and executive bodies, an end to the foreign presence on Libyan territory, and the formation of a unified government to lead the country to elections.
