Histadrut representatives, social activists and citizens are now (Friday) protesting the cost of living in front of the house of Dr. Ron Tomer, president of the Federation of Industrialists and chairman of the presidency of employers and businesses in Israel, in north Tel Aviv.
The activists wave signs that read, among other things: “The workers are the solution – not the problem”, “The tycoons are the engine of the cost of living” and “The state belongs to the workers and not to the tycoons”.
The demonstration comes as part of the Histadrut’s ongoing struggle against the cost of living in Israel. The struggle was successful, led to an announcement by the importers about freezing price increases and also affected the food chains.
