The proportions
By separating the data, it emerges that most of them come from outside the old airline and have applied in particular for staff positions that do not require specific certifications or qualifications. In fact, if you go to see the voice of the pilots (commanders and first officers) almost half of the candidates – 47% – come from Alitalia. Among the aspiring flight attendants just under 41% employed in the old company, while in the staff section 14% of Alitalia employees sent their CVs.
The selection
The stop to the collection of candidacies at the end of 6 September has irritated the unions who are asking to keep the platform active. The company has clarified that there is a need to make a first selection to choose the 2,800 employees at the time of take-off scheduled for 15 October. Subsequently – Covid and economic trend permitting – Ita plans to increase the fleet and therefore also the staff, according to the industrial plan between now and 2025.
