District Prosecutor’s Office-Plovdiv filed an indictment against a 25-year-old man for robbing a pensioner. According to the state indictment, on January 17, under the conditions of a dangerous relapse, he stole BGN 160 from an 87-year-old woman, using force for this.

At noon, the pensioner was returning to her home on “Vasil Levski” street. When she was in an inter-block space, near a parked car, an unknown man approached her. He pushed her against the car, knocked her to the ground, punched her in the body and began to push her. The attacker took the woman’s wallet, which contained BGN 160 and documents. He walked away, took the money, and returned after a few minutes and threw the wallet at the victim.

Around 12:20 p.m., the elderly woman reported to the Third District Office and was hospitalized for observation. With the assistance of their colleagues from Six, forensic experts caught the perpetrator minutes after the incident. He has a police record and a previous conviction for theft.
