A Register of entrepreneurs importing and producing tobacco products is being created in Azerbaijan.
As Day.Az reported on Saturday, this issue was reflected in the amendment to the law “On Tobacco and Tobacco Products,” which was discussed at today’s meeting of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) Committee on Agrarian Policy.
According to the amendment, it is proposed to establish a procedure for registering business entities importing and producing tobacco products, maintaining a register of business entities importing and producing tobacco products (hereinafter referred to as the Register) and regulations on the Register.
The re-registration and registration of business entities for the import and production of tobacco products is carried out in accordance with the law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Licenses and Permits”.
Registered business entities are included in the Register and are issued an extract from the Register in electronic or paper form. For the issuance of an extract from the Register, a state duty must be paid in the amount established by the law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On State Duty”.
Control over the implementation of activities for the import and production of tobacco products without registration, including compliance with the registration conditions for this activity provided for in Articles 10.2 and 10.3 of this law, is carried out by a body (institution) determined by the relevant executive authority.
