A resident of Sumgayit who died in a plane crash near Aktau has been buried

Sumgayit resident Agayev Ramin Sokhbat oglu, born in 1996, who died on December 25 in the AZAL plane crash, was buried today in the cemetery of the Zeynalabdin village in Sumgayit.

As Day.Az reports, residents of the village and representatives of the city community attended the funeral.

Let us recall that an AZAL passenger plane, operating a Baku-Grozny flight, crashed on December 25 near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Of the 67 people on board the plane, 38 died and 29 survived.

On December 26, 14 wounded and the bodies of 4 dead were delivered to Azerbaijan. On December 29, the bodies of 24 people, including 3 crew members, were delivered to the country.

On behalf of President Ilham Aliyev, a State Commission was created under the leadership of Prime Minister Ali Asadov to investigate the causes of the plane crash.

It should be noted that on December 25, the head of state signed an order declaring December 26 a day of mourning in Azerbaijan in connection with the crash of the Embraer 190 passenger plane flying from Baku to Grozny.

It was recently reported that Anar Babayev, who died in a plane crash, was buried in Astara.
