The Antitrust Authority announced the approval of the acquisition of Wind by the technology giant Yandex, after the acquisition announcement was first published last October. The acquisition is a strategic move as part of Yandex’s establishment in Israel and the concentration of its activities in Israel, headed by CEO Yuval Keinan.
This move is in line with the government’s announcement and the definition of the Ministry of Transportation’s goals, to reduce the use of private vehicles in urban and long-distance travel. It is also an integral part of Yandex Israel’s extensive activities in the fields of smart transportation.
