On October 1, a round table and a fine art exhibition was held at the Azerbaijan National Art Museum within the framework of the “Caspian” Biennale Platform, organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan and the International Artists Club, with the support of the National Art Museum of Azerbaijan. First, guests from different countries got to know the exposition of the museum. Later, they participated in a round table, representing the Board of Directors of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan, as well as other people’s artists, where a broad exchange of ideas was held on determining the future directions of the platform, and current art issues of the modern era were discussed.
Day.Az reports that the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Adil Karimli, well-known artists representing our country and foreign countries took part in the opening of the fine art exhibition. Greeting the guests, the director of the Azerbaijan National Art Museum, Shirin Malikova, gave information about the exhibition. It was reported that the exhibition, distinguished by its variety of genres and themes, exhibits the works of artists from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Hungary and Bahrain, combining art styles from realism to abstraction to surrealism. People’s artist Farhad Khalilov, chairman of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan, Nargiz Hamidova, chairman of the Union of Artists of Tajikistan, spoke about the important function and importance of the “Caspian” Biennale.
The exhibition will continue until October 15, 2024.
