Leaving from the Black Sea, they docked in the port of Saint-Florent, located on the west coast of the island after more than a month of travel. According to the Corsican daily, the father presented himself as a political opponent, fearing for his life, having notably participated in several anti-Putin demonstrations after Russia entered the war against Ukraine.
