The war correspondent of the official Russian agency RIA Nvosti Rostislav Zhuravliov has been killed when the car in which he was traveling was attacked in Zaporizhia, reported Yevgeny Valitsky, acting governor of that southern region annexed by Russia.
Zhurabliov died as a result of the serious injuries received, Valitski specified on his Telegram channel, where he accused the Ukrainian army of the attack.
In the attack, which occurred when the car was between the city of Vaslievka and the town of Vladmirovka, wounded three other Russian reporters.
It is about the photographer Konstantin Mijalchevski; the cameraman Dmitri Shilkov, and the journalist from the newspaper “Izvestia”, Romn Polshakov, who have already received medical attention in the field hospitals of the Russian Army, according to the source.
The Russian Defense Ministry denounced in a statement that the attack with artillery fire was perpetrated by Ukrainian troops with cluster munitions.
“The state of health of the other journalists is moderately serious, but stable. Their lives are not in danger,” he specified.
