The roads continue to bring mourning to families in the Republic of Guinea. In Siguiri, road accidents are truly frequent. As proof, on Saturday, August 3, 2024, a SAG worker was killed in a traffic accident in Bouré Silabada, a district under the sub-prefecture of Kintinia, located 35 km from Siguiri.
According to information gathered on the spot, the husband (victim), his wife and his child were on the same motorbike. Questioned in her sick bed, the woman who survived the accident told us about the scene. “There were three of us on the motorbike, my husband, my child and me. At full speed, the rear tire of the motorbike exploded, we fell. On the spot, my husband died and my child was injured and so was I. May God welcome him into his paradise.”, explained the wife of the deceased who wished to remain anonymous. After transporting the victim and the two injured to the hospital, Dr. Abdoulaye Bachirou Condé, lieutenant doctor of the high command of the national gendarmerie, military justice department on duty at the emergency room of the Siguiri prefectural hospital, expressed himself in these terms: “the three people you see, the husband is already dead, the wife and her child are out of danger, despite the injuries. We have provided first aid. So we made the diagnosis that the lady’s husband died from severe head trauma in a motorcycle accident.”
The victim’s name is Mamady Diallo, a security agent at SAG.
