A senior World Bank official visits Burundi

Victoria KwaKwa told the press that the discussions with the Prime Minister covered several subjects. The Prime Minister spoke of the Government’s vision to ensure strong economic growth, which benefits the entire Burundian population.

The Prime Minister and the Regional Vice-President of the World Bank discussed the partnership between this bank and Burundi, in the areas of energy, agriculture, mines, infrastructure, promotion of the private sector and transport.

It should be noted that this is for the first time that Victoria Kwakwa is visiting Burundi as Vice-President of the World Bank for the East and Southern Africa region.
