A Serbian citizen with the initials A.C. will be expelled from Bosnia and Herzegovina due to a threat to the country’s national security, the Office for Work with Foreigners of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced today, as quoted by Radio Free Europe.

The person is also banned from entering and remaining in Bosnia for a period of five years.

A statement from the Office of Foreigners said the Serbian citizen was residing illegally in Bosnia and Herzegovina and that he was linked to “organized crime”.

Two days ago, the Office for Foreigners imposed a measure of expulsion on a 40-year-old woman, also a citizen of Serbia, because of a threat to the country’s national security. She was also banned from entering and staying in Bosnia and Herzegovina for a period of five years, being placed under observation at the Immigration Center and will be deported from Bosnia and Herzegovina in the near future, BTA reported.

The statement said she was linked to radical followers of Salafism in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Salafism is part of the conservative branch of Sunni Islam.

The office also adds that “intensified activities” will be continued to control the movement and stay of foreigners in Bosnia and Herzegovina in order to protect the security of the country.
