“The authorities, security forces and operators of the scooter service are developing a single digital platform for controlling the movement of scooters,” the statement says. The “I’m on the go” platform will unite all types of urban transport, including personal mobility devices (SIM), it will allow you to create a combined route, find a parking place and pay rent, travel or parking. The purpose of the service is to improve road safety and create comfortable conditions for the movement of citizens.
The project is planned to be implemented in several stages. First, scooter rental services will be connected to the platform, then it will be supplemented with parking lots, after which other types of public transport will be added to it. It is planned to launch a pilot version of the platform in April 2022, the mayor said.
On June 3, employees of the Investigative Committee conducted searches in the offices of Whoosh, Molnia, Bolt, Scoobee, Red Wheels services in St. Petersburg in connection with cases of user raids on children. In this regard, criminal cases were initiated on the infliction of grievous bodily harm by negligence. On June 9, the authorities of St. Petersburg agreed with electric scooter rental services to impose restrictions on their operation, in particular, on the introduction of speed limits for their movement up to 20 km / h, and up to 10 km / h when traveling on sidewalks and crowded places.
