Worshipers who participated today (Wednesday) in the traditional blessing of the priests at the Western Wall recorded doves flying in circles near the worshipers during the entire blessing of the priests.
The surprised worshipers wondered if this was a positive sign from heaven in view of the difficult time in which the nation of Israel is facing.
As we know, the nation of Israel is likened, among other things, to a dove. For example, it is written in the Tractate Berakhot 13: “Why is Israel likened to a dove. Let me tell you what a dove is saved by its wings and its wings protect it. Yes, Israel is saved by the mitzvot.”
Also, in the mitzvot of sending the nest, the dove is compared to Shekinah who cries over her children and invokes the mercy of heaven.
A good sign from heaven for the people of Israel? time will tell.
