A significant increase in gold prices in Baghdad and Erbil

/ The prices of “foreign and Iraqi” gold rose on Saturday in the local markets in Baghdad and in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region.

Agency correspondent said that gold prices in the wholesale markets on Al-Nahr Street in the capital, Baghdad, recorded this morning, the selling price of one weight of 21 karat Gulf, Turkish and European gold at 483 thousand dinars, and the purchase price at 479 thousand dinars.

He added that the selling price of one mithqal of 21 carat Iraqi gold recorded 453 thousand dinars, while the purchase price reached 499 thousand.

Regarding gold prices in goldsmiths’ shops, the selling price of a 21-carat Gulf gold mithqal ranges between 485,000 and 495,000 dinars, while the selling price of an Iraqi gold mithqal ranges between 455,000 and 465,000 dinars.

As for gold prices in Erbil, the selling price of 24 karat mithqal was 550 thousand dinars, 21 karat was 485 thousand dinars, and 18 karat was 420 thousand dinars.
