A special economic zone will be created in the Novgorod region

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree on the creation of a special economic zone (SEZ) of industrial-innovative type in the Novgorod region, according to the government’s website.

The area of ​​the new SEZ will be 180 hectares; enterprises for the production of medicines based on monoclonal antibodies, microelectronic products, semi-trailers, as well as plants for the processing of rapeseed, the production of heat and sound insulation materials will appear on its territory.

SEZ resident companies will invest about 8 billion rubles in the regional economy. and will create more than 700 jobs. The cost of work on the development of infrastructure in the territory allocated for the SEZ is estimated at 1.3 billion rubles.
