A special week on “20 Minutes”

by time news

A year ago to the day, the editorial staff of 20 Minutes opened its live at 3:36 a.m. with this optimistic title, “Diplomacy to avoid war”, and concluded it late at night with this promise: our team will remain “mobilized 24 hours a day” to make you experience the event.

Unfortunately, two days later, on February 24, 2022, diplomacy failed and officially began what Moscow will continue to call its “special military operation” in Ukraine. For the past year, our editorial team has done its best to keep its commitment. Every day, we opened a new live on this conflict, secretly hoping that it would be the last.

Podcasts, videos, reports…

We have multiplied interviews, reports, infographics, videos and podcasts so that everyone can stay informed of what is happening 2,000 km from home. You will find some of these articles on our site by Wednesday. Above all, you will discover many others, during a special week dedicated to the conflict, one year after its occurrence.

From the university benches in Lille to the warehouses of associations in Lyon, passing by the stage where the Kalush Orchestra performs, all of our journalists have met women and men whose daily lives have been turned upside down by this war. From interviews to analytical articles, we will also try to shed light on the role of the neighbors of Ukraine and Russia, the political implications of the war, its psychological consequences, etc. Finally, we will take you behind the scenes of our editorial staff, to explain how we work on a daily basis and to answer your questions.

This week will end on Tuesday but our coverage of the conflict will not stop. As long as it takes, we will attack our day by opening a live dedicated to the situation in Ukraine. Hoping to have more exciting news to follow live with you very soon…
