## Attack on US Base in Syria

A squadron of suicide drones struck on Sunday/Monday night, the depth of a military base used by the US Army in the Al-Omar oil field, eastern Syria, according to the Russian Sputnik News Agency.
The agency reported flames rising from the residential area of the “Green Village”, which the US Army uses as a residence for its soldiers and officers, within its base in the “Al-Omar” oil field in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor Governorate.
According to the Russian News Agency, the fire was caused by an attack by a squadron of drones that struck the base. The agency claimed that the sounds of violent explosions shook the American base, and their sound was heard throughout the surrounding towns and villages.
The agency confirmed that the available information suggests the targeting was successful in achieving its objectives, while the results indicate that the American anti-aircraft weapons failed to confront the attack.
