Doctors in the Kasserine region in Tunisia were able to extract metallic materials and nails from the abdomen of a patient suffering from psychological problems who had been able to swallow them, for the fourth time in a week.
A medical source confirmed to local media that the substances swallowed by the patient made a hole in the intestine, and he is currently undergoing surgery and his health condition is stable.
The source indicated that coordination with the concerned authorities will take place, as the patient will be transferred to Al-Razi Hospital to continue his psychological treatment.
It is reported that the same person in previous times swallowed iron pieces used in construction, keys to repair cars, eating forks, screwdrivers and small pieces of metal.
