Dubai (02 July 2022): A powerful earthquake in Iran has been felt in the Gulf countries.
A magnitude 6.5 earthquake struck southern Iran early Saturday morning. According to the National Meteorological Center of the United Arab Emirates, the earthquake struck near Bandar Kameer at 1.32 am.
This tremor was also felt in the United Arab Emirates.
Eyewitnesses and social media users reported that the quake was felt in several parts of the UAE, including Dubai, Sharjah, Umm Al Quwain and Ajman.
Social media users also reported that the quake was felt in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
