English press reports revealed that Italian coach Simone Inzaghi has emerged as a strong candidate to succeed Dutchman Ten Hag if he is dismissed from coaching Manchester United in the coming period.
The Daily Express newspaper reported that the Manchester United management, headed by Jim Ratcliffe, will determine the fate of Ten Hag during the next international break, after the poor start of the current season in terms of results.
She explained that Simone Inzaghi, who currently supervises Inter, and Gareth Southgate, the former England national team coach, are the two options that Ratcliffe wants to succeed Ten Hag.
Inzaghi is a surprising choice because he has a contract with Inter until the summer of 2027, and it is difficult for him to leave the Nerazzurri in the middle of the season.
United are currently going through a difficult period under Ten Hag’s leadership, as they have achieved only two wins from their last seven matches in all competitions.
