The Friedrichshain techno club About Blank is considered to be particularly in solidarity with Israel within the Berlin club world. In the past, this led to a break with party organizers who sympathized with the BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) movement.
The club strongly condemned the Hamas attacks on October 7th when most other Berlin clubs were still silent, but there is a connection between the massacre and music culture: Hamas murdered at least one person at the Supernova festival in southern Israel on October 7th 260 people.

On Wednesday, January 24th, About Blank is showing a documentary film about the massacre (50 min., Hebrew, English subtitles) that has not yet been released in Germany, in which survivors and first responders express themselves and which contains real-time footage compiled from various sources . Following the film, a survivor will talk about her experiences.
