A suspect was arrested for threatening the sister of a murdered woman in Lod

by time news

A 34-year-old resident of Lod, the brother of Rabab Abu Siam’s divorcee who was murdered last July, was arrested by the police on suspicion of threatening the murdered woman’s sister during an argument that developed between them when they met near an educational institution in the city, and when she took the murder victim’s children to school.

The nurse complained to the police, who opened an investigation and arrested the suspect. The divorced brother was imprisoned, and the police intend to bring him today (Friday) to a hearing at the Petah Tikva Magistrate’s Court, with a request to extend his detention in accordance with the needs of the investigation and its findings.

As I recall, 30-year-old Rabab Abu Siam was shot to death in front of her daughters in the city of Lod, leaving behind three children. She moved to the south after being offered to enter a shelter but refused. Before the murder, a police car came to her and explained that she was at risk and should avoid returning to Lod – but she signed that she understood and pledged not to come.
