A suspect was involved in the shooting incident at a club in Haifa

Two days ago, the Israel Police opened an investigation into a shooting incident at a club on Histadrut Boulevard in Haifa, during which the security guard returned fire.

As a result of the security guard’s shooting, one of the two suspects was fatally injured and was taken to Rambam Medical Center in the city, and one of those involved fled the scene using a scooter.

Meanwhile, following an assessment of the situation that existed yesterday, the commander of the Hof district, Superintendent Yoram Sofer, the investigation was assigned to the unit for the fight against crime (ILP) of the Asher area.

Yesterday, at the end of an investigation, police officers from the Ben Gurion Airport area arrested the other suspect involved in the shooting, a 26-year-old resident of Acre, at the airport, while he was allegedly trying to flee the country.

The suspect was taken for questioning at the Yalef offices of Merhav Asher and in accordance with the development of the investigation and its findings, the police will decide whether to request tonight to extend the suspect’s detention in the Magistrate’s Court in Haifa.
