A swerve kills one in Montreal

(Montreal) The passenger of a vehicle that swerved on Friday evening in the borough of Mercier – Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, in Montreal, succumbed to his injuries. The victim is 18 years old.

Several calls were made to 911 Friday evening, around 9:40 p.m., to indicate that a vehicle struck a tree on Saint-Donat Street, near Vincent-Piette Street. It was immediately uncertain why the driver had lost control of his vehicle while traveling northbound on Saint-Donat Street.

Firefighters from the Montreal Fire Department were called in to help extricate the two occupants from the vehicle.
