“According to information, Vladimir Putin congratulated Ebrahim Raisi and all Muslims of Iran on the end of the holy month and the holiday of Ramadan, which was celebrated the other day. In addition, the presidents of Russia and Iran discussed the situation in the Middle East. Vladimir Putin expressed the hope that all parties will show reasonable restraint and not will allow a new round of confrontation, fraught with catastrophic consequences for the entire region. In turn, Raisi noted that Iran’s actions were forced and were of a limited nature. At the same time, he emphasized Tehran’s disinterest in the further escalation of tensions,” the Kremlin press service said.
