The Region has approved the procedure for the assignment of the Vecchia Aosta
The regional property located in the Porta Pretoria of Aosta will continue to be used as a restaurant. Today the Aosta Valley government has officially decided to proceed with the concession of the premises under the Old Aosta sign through a tender to identify the new manager.
The resolution relating to the tender was approved on the proposal of the regional councilor for finance, who explains: “we believe that the restaurant business historically carried out by the” Vecchia Aosta “should be re-proposed with a strong characterization of the identity and promotion of image of Aosta and of the entire region, given the uniqueness of its location, inserted in an area of very high historical and architectural value, the main eastern gate of the Augusta Praetoria. Precisely for this reason, in the management project of the announcement, we have planned to encourage traditional catering that makes use of products from the Valle d’Aosta area and initiatives aimed at giving prestige to the place and emphasizing our typical products ».
The public tender includes the existing supply of kitchen furniture and equipment for a monthly auction fee of € 4,500. In addition to the criterion of the most economically advantageous offer, in order to award the restaurant, the management project, the experiences acquired and the qualitative elements will be evaluated “aimed at connoting a qualifying, exhaustive offer that adheres to the expectations of the regional administration from the point of view of enhancement and promotion of the territory “.
