The survey was conducted on January 10-12, 2022 among 1,000 Russians aged 18-65 in cities with a population of more than 100 thousand people.

“Only 1% of the respondents went to celebrate the New Year abroad. The majority of Russians (72%) spent no more than 10 thousand rubles on the New Year’s table, 30% – less than 5 thousand, 20% spent from 10 thousand to 20 thousand rubles, 5% – from 20 thousand to 30 thousand rubles. , 4% – over 30 thousand rubles. 42% of respondents spent from 5 thousand to 20 thousand rubles on all New Year’s holidays, 15% – 20-30 thousand, 9% – from 30 thousand to 50 thousand, 3% – from 50 thousand to 100 thousand ., 2% – over 100 thousand rubles.

Earlier it became known that during the New Year holidays, Moscow restaurateurs were able to increase their revenue by 10-22%. Moreover, this was not due to the increase in the number of visitors, who still eat out of the house less often than before the pandemic, but to the rise in prices for food and raw materials amid general inflation. Only fast food and expensive restaurants managed to return to pre-crisis traffic.
