Masatean philosophy is back. Star’s repeat of the last cycle of Elsewhere – Nemesis gave those who had not seen it on Cosmote TV a chance to admire it.
After being shown by Cosmote TV, its last cycle Another Me titled Nemesis, started airing on Star last night. The premiere with a double episode excited the fans of the creator of the series, Sotiris Tsafoulias, but the questions and complaints about the best TV series of recent years did not stop.
Masatean philosophy is back
The Another Me, the series that started in 2019 and ended last year after 3 cycles (Lost Souls, Catharsis and Nemesis) is a landmark series of Greek TV and domestic production. Many then copied several elements, visible and more abstract, of the initiator and director Sotiris Tsafoulias.
The last cycle was considered the most important not for the justice it brings but for the destruction and closes with the extermination of the Reptile which is now revealed and played by Sotiris Tsafoulias himself.
But before being executed as revenge (by Tonya’s father for her murder) he has managed to explain to us in a few minutes the pathologies of our society, giving the essence of the case from all 3 circles.
The end of this series anyway has been revealed since its previous airing, but those who have seen it before and those who have not been subscribers to Cosmote TV showed a lot of interest in the first airing by Star and it showed in the viewership numbers. It reached 20.7% in the dynamic audience and 16.4% in the general population.
Many of the fans also stood for the return of the Masatos philosophy, as Masatos from Dimitris Kapetanakos was an unrepeatable personality of the series. The circle of Nemesis, in addition to Pygmalion Dadakarides in the role of Professor Lainis, has great performances by Tasos Noussia, Manos Vakousis, Petros Lagoutis, Spyros Papadopoulos, Yiannis Bezos, Katerina Didaskalou, Athena Tsilira and of course with Cora Karvounis, in a wonderful role.

But the complaint and the question remains: Why this series – gem never entered the stream of Netflix like other series and movies?
But there was a second minor gripe about Star and the several commercials that interrupted the flow of the episode several times.
Sotiris Tsafoulias also explained in our interview with Queen.gr that at the time Netflix did not proceed with the agreement for practical reasons: “Typically, our series was included and everything was signed. But at the last minute, Greece as a country was left off the list. But history will remember the one who walked through the door and not the one who knocked on it.”
