He drove fast, entered the oncoming traffic and hit her car head-on, which in turn rammed into the car behind him
A tow truck driver from Burgas has been fined BGN 900 for an accident in Stamboliyski, in which a 39-year-old woman was seriously injured. The man agreed with the prosecutor’s office and was released from criminal liability.
The accident took place on January 11, 2022. Around 5:40 p.m., the city’s regional office received a report of an accident on Trakia Street. Arriving at the scene, they found that a tractor with a semi-trailer, driven by a 55-year-old driver, was moving at an unreasonable speed, entered the oncoming traffic and hit a Volkswagen head-on. The car was sent backwards and crashed into a BMW.
The driver of the first car was transported to the hospital. She sustained two moderate physical injuries – a broken tibia, resulting in permanent difficulty moving her right leg for 5 months. For about 30 days, she had difficulty moving one arm due to a torn tendon, again caused in the accident.
The guilty driver must also pay the costs of the case in the amount of BGN 1,439.
The decision by which the Regional Court in Plovdiv approved the agreement is final and not subject to appeal or protest.
