A two-year-old girl bit a snake in revenge for biting her lip by sinking her teeth into it. The toddler, whose name has not been published, was playing in the back garden of her family’s home in Kfar Kanter, in the city of Bingul – Turkey, when suddenly her screams were heard by neighbors.
They rushed to help the toddler, but discovered that a 50 cm snake was clamped in her mouth and had a bite mark on her lower lip. After killing the snake, the neighbors performed first aid and called paramedics, according to local media.
The girl was rushed to the maternity and children’s hospital in the city of Bingol where she was left for observation for 24 hours. After a day she was released safe and sound and is recovering at home. Her father Mehmet Arkan, who was at work while the snake was in her mouth explained: “Allah truly protected her.”
“Our neighbors told me that the snake was in my daughter’s hand, she was playing with it and then it bit her, then she bit the snake back in response.”
