The “Sudan News” website stated, “The Saudi authorities summoned one of the leaders of the Sudanese Rapid Support Forces to investigate him regarding a leaked video clip about the graduation of Rapid Support forces in Saudi territory for an artillery and sniper course, which caused tension in relations between Riyadh and Khartoum.”
The website said: “The Saudi authorities summoned the commander of the Rapid Support Forces in the Dhahran sector in Saudi Arabia, and interrogated him for hours about the video leak, which showed members of the Rapid Support Forces in the eastern Saudi region threatening the Sudanese army.”
According to the website, “The Saudi authorities obligated the Rapid Support Commander, Muhammad Ismail Dagalo, to write a pledge, after he informed the authorities that the leak came from the soldiers, but the Saudi authorities held him responsible for what happened.”
The website stated, “The leak of the video on social media led to diplomatic tension between Khartoum and Riyadh.”
The Saudi ambassador to Sudan, Ali bin Hassan Jaafar, explained, “His country’s authorities followed the necessary procedures,” stressing, “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia refuses to use its lands in any activity that threatens Sudan or insults the Sudanese leadership.”
