Following the irresponsible action of the Public Works Department, the police will file a case against the people involved in the incident of seriously injuring a scooter passenger by wrapping a plastic rope around his neck. Johny George (60), a granary sweeper from the south, was entangled in a plastic rope tied across the road without placing a sign or other sign to divert the traffic as part of tiling on the road.

A passenger was injured on the Karikode-Thekumbhaga road due to the negligence of the Public Works Department. Thin plastic vines were strung on electricity poles across the road to block traffic. Johnny was riding a scooter with his wife when they hit a vine and fell down. Johnny, who was seriously injured by a plastic cord around his neck, sought treatment at the district hospital. Yesterday, Johnny complained to Thodupuzha SHO VC Vishnu Kumar about this.

The SHO said that the contractor of the road, a native of Kanjirapalli, has been asked to appear at the station today. He said that legal action will be taken against those who caused accidents by tying plastic ropes on the road without marking.
