Howard Carter discovered Tutankhamun’s tomb 100 years ago. His sponsor was Lord Carnarvon, who had previously taken numerous finds from Egypt to his Highclere Castle in England. His great-grandson’s wife looks after the treasures there today – and also shows them in the renovated basement of the magnificent manor house.
