A week before the wedding: Groom Ari Phillip in a tearful post about his mother Hannah

by time news

“Two weeks before Moishe’s bar mitzvah, Mom felt very bad and the atmosphere at home became heavy. Her heart felt the end was approaching, she lay in bed in immense weakness, but even then she composed a song for Bar Moishe, full of love, encouragement and support.

When she sang to him, everyone was happy and enjoying themselves, only Dad stood aside and wiped away a tear.

At the bar mitzvah she was already lying in intensive care and the whole extended family discovered the terrible secret, three days after that mother passed away at the age of 40.

My engagements were in Mother’s 30s. Joy mixed with sadness, destruction mixed with the building.

Another wedding week but the atmosphere in the house is more reminiscent of the shiva, three-year-old Maaki begs non-stop: “I want new shoes for the wedding” and Dad is sadly silent, not telling him that I, the groom, have nothing to go to the canopy with either “

Hannah Philip lived in Elad and owned a successful home-based caterer, her husband was involved in teaching and together they supplemented the income of a family of nine.

At the age of 38, Hannah discovered that the cancer she had suffered from as a teenager had returned and attacked her in the brain.

With great strength she decided to thank the Creator of the world for the hard experience and keep the word of the disease a secret from her children and acquaintances.

Now, as mentioned, her son-in-law reveals a little of her greatness and regrets that she will not see in his joy:

She continued to work in our home catering, maturing gourmet meals and making sure the routine was not disrupted. If only we knew what she was dealing with, we would be more helpful and take advantage of every minute near her. But the good mother wanted for us a smooth and happy childhood.

I beg you, mother tried to give us a happy childhood until the last breath, please help us give it back to her, and rejoice in the wedding.
