The Secretary of Tourism of Mexico City, Nathalie Desplas Puel, officially inaugurated the Mexico City Tourism Festival 2024an event that promises to be a vibrant celebration of Mexico’s cultural and tourism diversity.
This festival will be held from July 11 to 14, on the iconic Paseo de la Reforma, between the roundabouts of Diana the Huntress and the Column of the Angel of Independencewith activities scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

With activities for all tastes and ages, this event is consolidated as one of the main attractions of the season and a unique opportunity to discover and enjoy the best of Mexico.
During the opening ceremony, Nathalie Desplas highlighted the importance of the Mexico City Tourism Festival 2024 as a platform to showcase the tourist-cultural offering of the capital and 22 states of the Republic.
This event will allow attendees to experience first-hand the different tourist and cultural attractions available in the country, from beach sites and magical towns to crafts and diverse gastronomic options.
The 2024 Mexico City Tourism Festival is expected to attract between 250,000 and 400,000 visitors.
Visitors will be able to enjoy a wide range of cultural activities organized by the capital’s government, including presentations of ballet, boleros, danzón and popular music, as well as talks and seminars on aspects of tourism.
In addition, there will be theatrical performances that will revive different chapters of national history, in emblematic sites such as the Xochimilco and Tláhuac canals, the Basilica of Guadalupe, Chapultepec Forest and the Historic Center.
Nathalie Desplas stressed that the 2024 Mexico City Tourism Festival also aims to contribute to a greater economic impact on tourism.
Attendees will be able to explore a variety of accommodation options, from luxury hotels to more affordable accommodations, and sample a wide range of dishes at the traditional and international restaurants present at the event.

Participation is expected from representatives from Aguascalientes, Baja California, Baja California Sur, Chiapas, Colima, Durango, State of Mexico, Guanajuato, Guerrero, Hidalgo, Morelos, Nayarit, Oaxaca, Puebla, Sinaloa, Sonora, Tabasco, Tamaulipas, Veracruz and Yucatan, among others.
