With the promise of breaking “curses”, “tying” impossible love and many other esoteric promises, a woman was able to scam several users on social networks.

The FGR explained that among the 13 orders issued, this case is peculiar, because the scammer took advantage of the fact that a person was grieving because they had lost a relative, to offer her “service,” since she practices witchcraft and told her that what had happened to her relative was the product of “a chain of curse,” which she could break if she underwent treatment.

The accused offered her witchcraft work to break the spell on the victim. “Then this person is surprised in her good faith and proceeds to consult with her.”

The prosecutor explained that the scammer started by charging the victim $20 for the consultation, then demanded larger amounts to the point that she ended up defrauding the sum of $27,000.

“When this person sees that she is becoming more depressed and sicker every day, she has not seen that there has been no response to her ailments and sufferings, and so she decides to file a complaint and we have conducted the respective investigation,” said the prosecutor.
