A woman died in Saudi after being struck by lightning; Sister injured

Jizan ∙ A 27-year-old woman died and her sister was injured after being struck by lightning in Saudi Arabia. The incident took place in Al Aydabi Governorate, east of Jizan region. The thunderstorm occurred on Friday afternoon.

They were at home when there was heavy rain and wind. The father of the young women said that the accident occurred in the ensuing thunderstorm. Both were rushed to Aydabi General Hospital, but one died before reaching the hospital.
