Chalakudy> Two of the young women who were walking to work on the railway track fell into the water. One died. Devikrishna (28), wife of Thorappadi Sreejith, a native of Vijayaraghavapuram, died. Mujeeb’s wife Fawzia (40) was admitted to the hospital with serious injuries in Chempothuparam.
Due to heavy rains and the opening of dams, the road was waterlogged and the railway track was lost. The accident happened at 10 am. When they saw the train coming and tried to stay aside, both of them fell into the water. There were three people. One person escaped without falling into the water.
