Renallida Carvalho, from the Tempo de Milagres Pentecostal Church (IPTM), became the target of criticism after appearing in a video wearing clothing considered inappropriate by some internet users, while giving “prophecies” to the public at an event.
The recording shows Renallida under the rain, as well as the event participants. Wearing a skin-tight dress, the outfit appears more outlined due to having been wet, which caught the attention of internet users.
“A woman who is ashamed never dresses like that, nor is she impious,” said a follower of the Assemblyanos de Valor profile, who shared the recording. “Clothes don’t save, but those from heaven don’t wear clothes sewn onto their bodies showing the citizen’s DNA!”, reacted another follower.
In addition to the clothes used, Renallida Carvalho was also questioned about the “prophecies” she had made to the event’s participants. Generally speaking, the IPTM preacher appears addressing two women, appearing to speak in the name of God.
Controversies
The preacher’s positions have also been criticized by pastor Anderson Silva, who accused Renallida and Leonardo Sale, leaders of IPTM, of “spiritual fraud”.
“No theological basis in what they do, spectacles, ostentation, vanity and prophetic manipulation have made me not even know who they are”, commented the pastor on a given occasion.
O costume asking for “PIX” during lives, as a “purpose” of prayer, also generated criticism against the preacher. Pastor Elizeu Rodrigues, for example, made an exhortation in this regard, addressing Christians in general:
